Channel 3 is alive and well!
Welcome to Channel 3 - La Grande. We are happy to announce that with the help of the City of La Grande, Charter Cable, and the encouragement of the community, Channel 3 is going to become a place where you can keep up on current events, experience our area's rich local history and culture, and make your voice heard.
Our initial goal is to broadcast a full day of local programming each and every Wednesday. First and foremost is the regular broadcast of the La Grande City Council meetings. This monthly meeting will be broadcast live beginning at 6 PM until the close of the regular session. On weeks in which there is no new meeting, the previous meeting will be rebroadcast beginning at 6 PM.
The remainder of the broadcast day will include programs of local interest submitted by people just like you. Channel 3 is your public access channel. While many programs will come from the archives of Eastern Oregon University and other local organizations, Channel 3 is actively seeking original video content to show in its Wednesday lineup.
If you have broadcast-ready content you would like to submit to Channel 3, please contact us via email at info@Channel3LaGrande.com and be sure to include your first and last name, daytime phone number, and a brief description of your video. Please understand that because Channel 3 is primarily a volunteer community project, the broadcast schedule will initially be limited. As our resources and support grow, so will the scope of what we can offer the community.
If you are interested in being a part of Channel 3, we are in need of volunteers to help develop a non-profit organization around Channel 3, operate equipment on Wednesdays (no experience necessary), and seek out additional quality content for broadcast.
